NYC: A Quick Weekend Getaway Guide

Am I the only one who cues up *Welcome to New York* every time I see the skyline as I fly in to the city? It’s So corny but sometimes I just can’t help myself.

My most recent adventure to NYC came and went too soon but it was definitely one for the books. We had just over 48 hours to pack in as much as we could, and the best part? We had no where we had to be, no schedule, no rules… so we could really design our time and be spontaneous.

In the short amount of time I was there I managed to have the BEST bagel, pizza, tacos, and cocktail all from 4 very different restaurants… and what’s even better? It was almost ALL plant based!

If you know me, you know I stick to the 80/20ish rule by nature. 80 percent of the time I avoid gluten, dairy, meat, and 20 percent of the time I don’t stress if there’s cheese on my pizza or a friend has me over for dinner and cooks chicken fajitas.

I’ve been vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, oblivious and everything in between… and ive found that for my mental and physical health, the 80/20 rule really does work the best.

BUT with that being said, when I can take a trip and explore AND still eat plant based and gluten free without worry - its a huge WIN WIN for me.

Here’s a little recap of where we stayed, explored, ate, and drank:
